Kevin Novales is a self-taught photographer and zinemaker hailing from Los Angeles, California. With a background rooted in skateboarding, cinema, and photography, Kevin has honed his craft over the years, self-publishing more than 45 booklets. Currently based in the San Fernando Valley, Kevin's work is deeply influenced by his experiences as a first-generation American, born to Guatemalan immigrant parents.
Inspired by the seemingly mundane aspects of life and the overlooked beauty of everyday moments, Kevin employs analog film to capture the raw essence of his subjects. Through his lens, he seeks to celebrate the ordinary and shine a light on the unnoticed, bringing a sense of discovery to his viewers. With a dedication to uplifting all subjects, Kevin's work transcends boundaries and strives to connect with people on a deeper level.
